textbook illustrations: fetal cardiology

This set of 4 illustrations was created for a textbook in development at Cambridge University Press, which would be used as a basis for other schematics throughout the textbook.

Each illustration depicts the fetal heart at different levels, plus one key pathology that can occur.

I enjoyed digging into the challenging nuances going on in fetal heart anatomy, and collaborating with the authors to set up a look and feel for depicting the key structures.
