This project was created as part of the annual October SciArtink challenge by Learn Medical Art. As the theme of the prompts was ‘movement’, I thought it would be fun to create a set of short animations to capture each prompt.

What I love about the October challenges is the freedom and flexibility to try out new things. Most of the animations are educational, whilst a couple ended up being more about creating something to meet the prompt that allowed me to try things out and play around with different techniques.

Illustrations were created using a combination of Procreate and Photoshop and animated primarily in After Effects, with some hand-drawn animation in Procreate incorporated too.

In total 31 animations were created to illustrate the different prompts on the list.
